First Sundays is a Western Cape-based automotive community organising monthly driving events. For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described below, contact us using the details in the footer of this site.

What we collect

When you complete the registration form we collect: your name, email address, mobile number, Instagram handle (optional), the car you drive, your area or suburb, whether you have attended a run before, your membership tier interest, and your preferred shirt colour and size. We do not collect payment card details through this website.

Why we collect it

• To contact you about founding membership availability and to allocate places in order
• To give existing regulars priority access as described on this site
• To plan event capacity and produce merchandise in the correct sizes and colours
• To send you information about upcoming runs, events and community announcements

Consent

We only collect this information when you actively submit the form and tick the consent box. Ticking that box is your consent to be contacted about First Sundays membership. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, and we will remove you from our list.

How we store and protect it

Your information is stored in our Shopify customer database. Shopify is our data processor and applies industry-standard security controls. Access is limited to the First Sundays founders who administer memberships. We keep your information for as long as you remain on the founding list or a member, and remove it on request.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with sponsors, partners or any third party for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website and email platform, and only to the extent needed to provide that service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Photography and media

First Sundays events are photographed and filmed. Images of participants and their vehicles may be used on our website, social media and in promotional material. If you would prefer not to appear, tell us before or at an event and we will accommodate you.

Your rights
